The Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) is being updated by a national work group under the aegis of the California Emergency Medical Services Authority.

As reported in a 27-SEP posting, the HICS project is in its "final stages," and a late September briefing to California health care professionals was conducted in Sacramento.

As of mid-October, the details are not yet available on the California EMSA website.
