Applied Visions, Inc. (AVI) is a research and software development concern. We're new to the health care simulation work, but not to simulation. In fact, our work in visualization and situation awareness for defense and commercial applications has made us aware of alternative approaches. One such approach involves the use of "serious games." We consider this approach to be an evolution from decades of work in military simulation R&D, but also revolutionary, in the sense of "edutainment."

AVI believes that one important way to further the technology is to reach out to the affected subcommunities -- health care providers, administrations, government workers, the media and private citizens.
