A unique conference, the Defense Industrial Base/Critical Infrastructure Program Conference and Exhibition aims to facilitate the building of "A Resilient Defense Industrial Base."

From the conference web site:

This conference is designed to enhance public and private sector collaboration and mutual understanding of the critical roles of federal, state and municipal governments, and defense industry owners and operators in Building A Resilient Defense Industrial Base. The exhibits will provide top-notch networking opportunities to reach several government agencies at one time, including federal, local and state representatives working together on building a resilient defense industrial base. The Dept. of Defense is charged by the President to collaborate with defense industry owners and operators to: Identify critical DIB assets * Conduct or facilitate vulnerability assessments of the sector * Encourage risk management strategies to protect against and mitigate the effects of attacks, natural disasters or other emergencises * Encourage development of information-sharing mechanisms."

Priority 5, whose critical infrastructure management solutions for homeland security and natural hazard preparedness include Critical Infrastructure Management Solutions (CIMS), is presenting at the Conference. CIMS was licensed and developed under a cooperative research and development agreement with Idaho National Laboratory.
