Vaccine effective less than half the time?

A fresh look at last year's clinical trials data is cause for concern.

A simplistic simulation might assume that 100% of vaccinated patients will resist an H5N1 infection. This assumption is faulty, as shown in today's report from the CDC, which suggests that even fewer patients than previously thought will produce H5N1 antibodies after receiving the vaccine.
